COUNTY OF ELGIN
By-Law No. 563
TO APPOINT A BOARD OF AUDIT IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN FOR
THE YEAR 1897."
Passed 28th January 1897.
WHEREAS under Section 7 of Chapter 84 of the
Revised Statutes of Ontario every County Council is re-
quired to appoint annually at its first meeting in every
year a Board of Audit composed of the Judge of the Coun-
ty Court and two other person not more than one of whom
shall be a member for the time being of such County Coun-
cil.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the
Municipal Corporation of the County of Elgin under the
authority aforesaid -
That D. J. Hughes, Esquire, County Judge, John
Thomson and W. M. Ford be and are hereby appointed a
Board of Audit to perform the duties required of them by
Chapter 84 R. s. O.
That the members of said Audit be paid the sum
of four dollars per day for their services and five cents
per mile in going to and from such Audit.
