COUNTY OF ELGIN
By-Law No. 567
TO AUTHORIZE THE WARDEN AND TREASURER TO BORROW FIFTEEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS."
Passed January 29th 1897
The County Council of the Corporation of the
County of Elgin enacts:-
1. That the Warden and Treasurer be and are
hereby authorized to borrow the sum of fifteen thousand
dollars, as it may be required to meet the current ex-
penditure of the Corporation of the County of Elgin during
the year 1897 and to give as security therfor notes for
one thousand dollars each.
2. That the Warden and Treasurer be and are
hereby authorized to renew the notes now held by the
Molsons Bank if it is found necessary to do so, said
notes being as follows: -
$4500. due 3rd February
3000. due 28th February
a500. due 5th March
000. due 11th March
9000. due 13th March
