581 · · · · · · · · · · · COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 581 TO IMPOSE A FEE OF ONE DOLLAR PER MONTH ON ALL COUNTY PUPILS ATTENDING HIGH SCHOOLS AND COLLEGIATE INSTITUTES IN THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND CITY OF ST. THOMAS FOR A PERIOD OF THRE~ YEARS~. Passed 9th June 1898 WHEREAS by section 37 of the High Schools Act of 1891, sub section 1, it is provided that County pupils shall pay to the Treasurer of the High School Board such fees as the Municipal Council of the County may deem expedient, provided always such fees shall be in uniform and shall not exceed one dollar per month. The scale of fees so fixed shall take effect from the beginning of the High School term next ensuing after adoption thereof by the County Council, and shall continue in force for three years. The County Council of the County of Elgin therefore enacts:- That a fee of one dollar per month shall be paid by all County pupils attending the High Schools and Collegiate Institutes in the County of Elgin and City of St. Thomas from the beginning of the High School term next ensuing, after the passing of this By-Law. It is further enacted that this By-Law shall continue in force for three years. Council Chamber st.
