~º_~EP'OINT COUNTY AUDITORS FOR THE YEAR 18~2~
Passed January 27th 1899
WHEREAS under the authority of the Municipal
Act every Municipal Council is required to appoint
at its first meeting in every year two Auditors.
BE IT THEREFORE enacted by the Council of the
Municipal Corporation of the County of Elgin under
the authority aforesaid.
That William Newcombe and W.A. Galbraith be,
and are hereby appointed Auditors to examine and
report upon all accounts affecting the Corporation of
the County of Elgin, or relating to any matter under
its control or within its jurisdiction as required
by Statute or order in Council and also all
accounts of school monies received or paid by the
County Treasurer for the year ending 31st December 1898
and that said Auditors be paid the sum of forty dollars
each for their services.
