599 · · · · · · · · -. · · COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 599 TO DIRECT THAT MONEYS PAYABLE TO THE COUNTY OF ELGIN BY THE TREASURERS OF LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES FOR THE COUNTY RATES SHALL BE PAID INTO THE MOLSONS BANK TO THE CREDIT OF THE WARDEN AND TREASURER." Passed 16th December 1899. The County Council of the County of Elgin en- acts under the authority of Revised Statutes of Ontario Chapter 228, Section 19 1. That all monies payable to the Corporation of the County of Elgin by the Treasurers of local munici- palities for County Rates shall be paid into the Molsons Bank of Canada in the City of St. Thomas to the credit of the Corporation of the County of Elgin. 2. That the person making the payments to the Molsons Bank as above directed shall obtain receipt from the Bank therefor and produce the same to the County Trea- surer who shall make the proper entries thereof in the books of the County. 3. That said moneys so deposited to the credit of the County of Elgin shall be withdrawn therefrom only upon the cheque of the Treasurer countersigned by the Warden.
