By-Law No. 604
"TO APPOINT A KEEPER AND MATRON FOR THE HOUSE OF INDUSTRY
AND REFUGE AND AMEND BY-LAW NO. 514. "
Passed 27th January, 1900
The County Council of the County of Elgin enacts
l. That David H. Gooding be and is hereby ap-
pointed Keeper of the House of Industry and Refuge, to hold
office during the pleasure of the Council at an annual
salary of three hundred and fifty dollars with board and
lodging in the said House at the expense of the Corporation.
2. That Jennie Gooding be and is hereby appointed
Matron of the said House of Industry at a salary of two hun-
dred dollars per annum with board and lodging at the expense
of the Corporation.
3. That By-Law No. 514 appointing William and
Catherine Aldritt be amended accordingly.
4. That this By-Law take effect on the 15th day
of February 1900.
