626 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 626 TO MAKE A GRANT FOR THE ERECTION OF A BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER THAMES AND TO AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS CO!ll!llITTEE TO CO-OPERATE WITH THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF MIDDLESEX." Passed June 8th, 1901. WHEREAS it is proposed to erect a bridge across the River Thames, at the Village of Muncey and, WHEREAS application has been made to the County of Elgin for assistance in the erection of the same, and WHEREAS the County Council has decided to make a grant to assist in the erection of the said bridge and desires to authorize the County Engineer and the Public Improvements Committee to co-operate with the County Coun- cil of the County of Middlesex for the erection of the same The County Council of the County of Elgin there- fore enacts: - That a grant of an amount equal to twenty-five per cent of the cost of the erection of a bridge, not in- cluding approaches, across the River Thames at the Village of Muncey in the County of Middlesex, be made to assist the County Council of Middlesex in the erection of the same and, That the Public Improvements Committee of this Council and the County Engineer, be and are hereby authorized to co-operate with a similar Committee, to be appointed by the County Council of Middlesex in the erec- tion of the bridge and That the amount be paid by the County Treasurer on the order of the Warden, when the work is completed, such amount not to exceed twenty-five per cent of the cost of the bridge.
