TO SET APAR'r THE POLICE VILLAGE OF BELMONT."
Passed November 13th, 1902
WHEREAS a petition has been received from a
majority of the ratepayers resident in the Unincorporated
Village of Belmont which lies partly within the Counties
of Middlesex and Elgin.
AND WHEREAS the largest 'number of the ratepayers
reside in the County of Middlesex
The County Council of Elgin enacts:-
That the portion of the said Unincorporated
Village of Belmont, lying within the limits of the County
of Elgin be and is hereby set apart as part of the Police
Village of Belmont.
That the area to be included in said portion of
the said Police Village shall comprise all that part of lot
number twenty-four in the seventh concession of the Township
of South Dorchester lying north of the southerly limit of the
land of the Canada Pacific Railway Company.
