652 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 652 "TO RAISE AMOUNTS FOR COUNTY RATES DURING THE YEAR 190)" Passed June 5th 190J WHEREAS by Section 405 of Chapter 22J R. S. O. the Council of a County may pass By-Laws authorizing the levying and collecting of a rate, etc. AND WHEREAS an estimate has been made showing that the sum of thirty thousand seven hundred and forty-two dollars is required to be raised in the several municipalities for the lawful purposes of the County during the year 190). AND WHEREAS by Section 9) of the Assessment Act this Council is required to direct what portion of the sum to be levied for county purposes shall be levied in each municipality in the County. AND WHEREAS the rates are required to be calculat- ed at so much in the dollar upon the actual value of all the real and personal property liable to assessment. AND WHEREAS the actual value of the real and personal p~operty as ascèrtained and equalized by this Council is as follows: - Municipality Total Aldborough $ 2,784,241 Dunwich 2,872,189 Southwold J,548,409 Yarmouth 4,06J,)78 Malahide 2,814,927 Bayham 1'{720,812 S. That a rate of one and one halfmmills in the dollar be levied upon all the rateable property in the several municipalities in the County of Elgin as above set forth for the year 190J to raise the fOllowing amounts: - 2. That the sum of thirty thousand seven hundred and forty-two dollars be raised and levied in the several municipalities in the County according to the following schedule. And that the amounts so entered therein be paid to the County Treasurer as by law required.
