654 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 654 "TO CONFIRM BY-LAW NO. 602 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Township of Dunwich on the 4th May 1903 passed a By-Law to close up and sell the allowance for road opposite lots 24 in the 1st and 2nd concessions of Dunwich. AND WHEREAS they have made application to have the same confirmed by this Council as provided intthe Municipal Act. (cont'd) By-Law No 654 Page 3 TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH By-Law No. 602 "BEING A BY-LAW FOR STOPPING UP AND SELLING THAT PORTION " ,. OF ROAD BETWEEN LOT 24 IN THE FIRST AND SECOND CONCESSIONS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DUNWICH". WHEREAS under the provisions of Chapter 223 Section 637, Sub Sec. 1 power is given to the Council of every Township to stop up and sell any street or other public communciation within the jurisdiction of the Council. AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Dunwich deem it expedient to close up and sell that portion of the road allowance between lots 24 in the first and second concessions. AND WHEREAS the notices required by Chapter 22J, Section 6J2, Sub Sec. A & B, R. S. o. 1897, have been given as therein required. THEREFORE the Council of the Township of Dunwich by virmùe of the above authority enacts as follows; 1. That portion of the road allowance between the first and second concessions opposite lots 24 in the Township of Dunwich shall be and is hereby stopped and closed as a public highway. 2. That as John Watson of the Township of Dunwich has consented and agreed to purchase the foregoing property for the sum of eighty dollars, that the said property shall be conveyed to the said John Watson for the consideration above mentioned. 3. That the Reeve of the Township of Dunwich be authorized to sign the necessary documents required for the transfer of the said property to John Watson, upon the said By-Law being confirmed by the County Council of the County of Elgin.
