676 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 676 "TO INCORPORATE THE BOARD OF POLICE TRUSTEES OF THE POLICE VILLAGE OF WEST LORNE." WHEREAS thé census returns of the Police Village of West Lorne taken under the direction of the County Council of Elgin show that the same contains over 500 inhabitants. AND WHEREAS a petition of over fifty resident free- holders of said Police Village has been presented to fuhis Council praying for a By-Law to incorporate the j?olice~X1ustees of the said Police Village. AND WHEREAS the said petition was lodged with the Clerk of this Council over three months ago. AND WHEREAS public notice that said petition would be considered at this meeting of the Council was given in the Elgin Sun «a newspaper published in the said Police Village) the dates of publication being the 12th and 19th days of January 1905. The County Council of the County of Elgin enacts That the Police Trustees of the Police Village of West Lorne be and are hereby declared to be a corporation under the name of "The Board of Police Trustees of the Police Village of West Lorne".
