715 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 715 "TO INCORPORATE THE BOARD OF POLICE TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PORT BURWELL". Passed 26th January 1907. WHEREAS thE! Census Returns of the Police Village of Port Burwell, taken under the direction of the County Council of Elgin, show that the same contains over five hundred inhabitants. AND WHEREAS a petition of over fifty resident free- holders of the said Police Village has been presented to the Council praying for a By-Law to incorporated the Policle Trustees of the said Police Village. AND WHEREAS the said petition was lodged with the Clerk òfthis Council on the 16th day of October, 1906. AND WHEREAS public notice that the petition would be considered at this meeting of the Council, was given in the "Weekly Packet", a newspaper publii$hed in the said Police Village, the dates of publication being the 20th and 27th days of December 1906 and the 3rd and 10th days of January 1907. The County Council of the County of Elgin enacts: That the Police Trustees of the Police Village of Port Burwell be, and are hereby declared to be a Corporation under the name of the Board of Pòlice Trustees of the Police Village of Port Burwell.
