BY-LAW NO. 895.
To Confirm By-Law No. 383 of the Village of Vienna.
Passed 8th June, 1917.
WHEREAS By-Law No. 383 of the Village of Vienna was
adopted on the fifth day of March 1917, to stop up
and sell that portion of the sideline road, situate,
lying and being between lots numbers Fifteen and
Sixteen, in the Third Concession of the Township of
Bayham, north from King Street and South from Chapel
Street in the Village of Vienna.
AND WHEREAS it is desired that said By-Law should be
confirmed in accordance with the provisions of Section 472
of the Municipal Act.
The Elgin County Council enacts:
THAT By-Law No. 383 of the Village of Vienna be and the
same is hereby confirmed.

Being a by-law (to stop up and sell that portion of the Sideline
Road, situate, lying and being, between Lots numbe1~s Fifteen and Sixteen
in the Third Concession of the Township of Bayham, North from King street
and South from Ohapel street, in the Village of Vienna).
Whereas under and by virtue of Ohapter 192, section 472, Sub Sed,
Lc. Subject to certain conditions giyen in Sub Sections 2.3.4.5;6. of
of said Section 47i2 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario 19l4. Authority
is gtyen Municipal Councils to pass by-laws to stop up and sell h18hways
or parts cfhighways, within their'respectiYe jurisdictions and,
Whereas that portion or the Sideline Road abovécme!1tloned has never
been opened for. public travel, owing to other streets more convenient
being used in lieu thereof, and therefor·e· not required in the pUbli.c
interests, and
Whereas the said Municipal Council has cO)TIplied with all conditions
set forth in Chapter 192, Section 475,Sub Section 1 A & B at' the said
Revised Statutes of Ontario, with respect to the stopping up and selling

any public highway.
Theref'ore under and by virtue of the powers in them so vested by
the said Act, the Council of the Municipality of the Village of Vienna
hereby enacts as follows:-
That legal steps be taken to stop up and sell that portion of the
Sideline Road situate, lying and being, between Lots numbers Fifteen
and Sixt>3en in th>3 Third Concession of the Township of Bayham, North
fl'om K:ing Street, and South from Chapel Street, in the said Village
of Vienna, as laid out in Registered plan number B'ifty-rour or said
Village, ¡¿nd the said portion of the Sideline Road above described
shall 1)0 stopped up and sold as soon as conveni>3nt aftervthis by-law
rooeive the approval of those in authority as provided Th51 Sub Seotions
3.4.5.å¡;¡d 6 of Seotion 472 Chapter 192 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario
1914, or any later Aot effeoting the same.
