To Frovic1e :for the Total :a;xpend~ ture on the System
of County Roads in the County of Elgin as a~proved
by Order-in-Counci],., during the yea'!: 1937.
The Elgin County Council· enacts:
VmE~EAS The Highway Improvement Act, Chapter 54, B..S.Ü. 1927
and amendmen'ts re~uired tha tthe total expenditu:ce on county roaéls
and. bridges be provided for annually by county by-law,
(1) The sum of $40,000.00 is hereby appropriated from
monies raised by levy, debentures and government subsidy, for
eX];Jenéii ture upon construction on the said system during the year
1937.
(2) 1'he swn of $40,000.00 is hereby appropriated from
monies raised by levy and government subsidy for expenditure upon
maintenance and repair of the roads in the said system during the
year 193"1.
(3 ) The said monies shall be expended under the dj,rection
of the duly appointed county road superintendent and on work
performed in accordance with the last revised regulations res-
pecting county roads issued by the Department of Highways of
Ontario.
(4) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this
by-law to the Deputy IVIinister, Department of Highways of Ontario,
for a:pproval on or before the 31st of January of the present year.
