BY-LAW ~O 1269
To Provide for the Designation of Through streets
The Elgin County Council Enacts:
1. That the following streets be designated as through
streets as re~uired by Sub Section 2 of Section 35 of the
Highway Traffic Act.
(1) County Road Number 36 in the Village of Sparta,
on the 4th conoession of the Township of Yarmouth,
be designated as a through Highway.
(2) county Road Number 39 in the Village of Lyons,
Township of South Dorchester, between concessions
10 and 11, be designated as through Righway.
(3) County Road Number 39 in the Township of Malahide
between lots 10 and 11, be designated as thDough
Highway at the intersections of county roads 39
&lld 42.
(4) Also County Townline road number 47, between South
and North Dorchester in the Village of Avon be
designated as through Highway.
(5) The opera'Gor or driver of every vehicle shall
immediately. before entering or crossing any of
these streets, bring the vehicle .to a full stop.
(6) The provisions of this by-law shall be subject to
the provisions of The Ontario Highway Traffic Act,
and amendments thereto.
(7 Any person violating any of the provisions of t.his
by-law shall be subject to a penalty of not more

to nor more than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for
every subseQuent offence exclusive of costs and all
suoh penalties shall be recoverable under The Ontario
Summary Oonviction Act.

(8) This By-law shall take eÎfect upon Îrom and.
