BY-LAW NO~ 1272
A By-law to :Provide for the ~otal E emiture
of 100,000. on the System of County Roads in the County of Elgin
-
~uring the Year 1937, and to Repeal By-Law No. 1268.
The Elgin county Couneil enacts:
WHEREAS The Highway Improvement Act. Chapter 54,
R.S.O. 1927, and ~mendments requires that the total expenditure
on county roads and bridges be provided for annually by oounty
by-law~
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the
said County of Elgin enacts as follows:
(1) The sum of '50,000. is hereby appropriated from
monies raised by levy. debentures and government subsidy, for
expendi ture upon construotion on the said system during the
year 1937.
(2) The sum of $50,000. is hereby appropriated from
monies raised by levy and government subsidy :for· expenditure
upon maintenance and repair of the roads in the said ßystam
during the year 1937.
(3) The said monies shall be expended under the
direction of the duly appointed eounty road superintendent and
on work performed in accordance with the last revised Begulations
respecting county roads issued by the ~epartment of Highways of
Ontario.
(4) TÞ.eClerll: shall, transmit duplicate oopies of
this by..law to the :Deputy Minister, DepartJ:nent of Highways of
Ontario, for ~proval.
That BY~LaW No. 1268 be and is hereby repealed.
