To Raise Amounts for County Rates during the year 1939
WHEREAS an estimate has been made showing that the sum of One Hundred
and IPif'ty-one Thousand, One Hundred and Seventy-seven Dollars is
re~uired to be raised in the several municipalities for the law'ful
purposes of the County during the year 1939 on the basis of e~ualized
assessment as de'termined in 1938
AND WHEREAS the estimated amount re~uired for High and Continuation
School purposes based on Maintenance costs for 1938 as determined
under provisions of the High Sohool Acts is Fifty-three Th0u.sand
Eight Hundred and Thirty-two Dollars.

THEREFORE the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the County
of Elgin enacts:
1. That a rate of five mills on the dollar be levied on all rateable
property in the several munioipalities in the County of Elgin as above
set forth for the yeår 1939.
2. Thatthè amounts re~uired for County and for High and Continuation
School purposes as set forth in the following Schedule be levied in
the respective municipalities during 1939 and paii& to the Count.y
Treasurer as by law re~uired.
