A By~law to provide for the total expenditQre on the system
of cOQnty roads in the County of........Elgi~.............,as approved
by Order-in-CoQncil, during the year 19~0.
WHEREAS The Highway Improvement Aot, Chapter 56, R.S.O., 1937,
and amendments, requires that the tota;!. expenditur~ on county roads
and bridges be provided for annually bycoQnty By-law.
THEREFORE the oOQncil of the oorporation of the said County of

raised by levy, debentures and government subsidy, for expendit\lre
upon oonstr\lotion on the said syst~m during the year 1940.

raised by levy and government s\lbsidy for expendit\lre upon maintenanoe
and repair of the roads in the said system d\lring the year 1940.
(3) The said monies shall be expended under the direotion of the
duly appointed oounty road superintendent and on work performed in
aocordanoe with the last revised reg\llationsrespecting oO\lnty roads
issued by the Department of Highways of Ontario.
(4) The olerk shall transmit d\lplioate oopies of this By-law to the
Deputy Minister, Department 'of Highways of Ontario, for approval on or
before the 31st of January of the present year,
