To Grant Approval to Inoreasing the Area of the
Polioevillage 'of Belmont
WfŒREAS a request has been made by the Trustees of the Polioe
Village of Belmont
AND WIlEREAS th~ neoessary petition has been signed,
The Elgin County Counoil consents to the annexation of the
property desoribed as follows to the Police Village of Belmont -
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain paroel or tract of
land and and premises, situate, lying and being in the Township
of:larmouth in the County of Elgin and Provinoe of Ontario and
being composed of Parts of lot 17 and Part of the Origional
Road Allowanoe between Lots 16 and 17 in the 15th Concession
of the Township of Yarmouth and which may be more partioularly
described as follows:-
COMMENCING at a point in the North east angle
of said Lot 17:
Thenoe South 72 degrees 0 minutes West along the
Southerly limit of the Town Line between the Townships of
Yamaouth and Westminster, Seven Hundred and Forty-six fest
and Seven and one-half inches (746' . 71") more or 1 es s to its
interseotion with the line between the East and West halves of
the original road, allowance between Lots 115 and 17 in the 15th
Conoession of the Township of Yarmouth;
THENCE South 2 degrèes 32 minutes West along the
centre line of said road allowance, Seven Hundred and Sixty
feet (760' .0") more or less to its interseotion with the Souther:!;\r
limit of the Right of Way of the Canadian Paoifio Railway
THENCE North easterly along the Southerly limit
of s~id Right of Way, One Thousand One Hundred feet (1100' .0")
more or less to its intersection with the Westerly limit of
the Town Line between the Townships of Yarmouth and south
Dorchester:
THENCE Northerly along the Westerly limit of
said Town Line Two Hundred and Twenty-nine feet (229' .0")
more or less to the place of beginning.
The lands intended to be described abovè are those
inlcuded wit~in the red lines on the accompanying plan.
Read a third time and passed at the Co~ty Council Chambers,
St Thomas this 23rd day of January 1942.
