(2) The sum of $.~~?,999t99...is hereby appropriated from monies

raised by levy and gover~ment subsidy for oxpenditure upon maintenance
and repair of the roads in the said system during the year 1943.
(3). The said monies shall be expended under the direction of the
dulY apþointed county road superintendent and on work performed in
accordance with the last revised regulations respecting county roads
issued by the Department of Highways of Ontario,
(4) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this By_law to the
Department of Highways of Ontario, for approval on or

The Department has carefully considered your
county road appropriation by-law for 1943 submitted for
$ 117,000.00.
This is to advise you that this Department
approves of a net expenditure of $ 117,000.00.
We would ask your co-operation throughout the
coming year to see that your proposed programme is ke~t

within this net expenditure.
As soon as your County Engineeris proposed
detailed programme for 1943 is available, we would ask you
to submit it to the Department for definite approval before
any extensive work is commenced.
