To Amend By-Law No. 1541.
'l'he Elgin County Council enacts:
~Chat By-Law No. 1541.be amended as follows:
1. Section 11: This By-law shall not be amended so as to adversely
effect the benefits or rights of the meruber employee, or any of
them, or be repealed unless such amendment or repeal shall first
have been approved by a two-tl1irò.s vote of all membe!B employees;
nor shall the s0.i(l By~l0.w be repealed or amended without the
a.pproval 01' the Department of Municipal Affairs.
2. Section 1, subsection (c), :¡:art 2 of the- Plan shall now read
as follows:
Each female person who becomes an employee after the effective
date of the Plan, mllst, as a condition of employment, be corne a
member of the Plan on the first day of the first month irar¡]ediately
following the date on which the condi'G:1.ons applicable as set
forth in paragraph (a) are fulfilled, provided tb.at she has
reached her 30th birthday.
3. Section 11,. subsection (a), part 4 of the Plan shall read

Or, in addition, if at the date of death the member has not
terminated his employment and has completed 8~t least 20 years
of such employment, an amollnt equal to the Past ,Service and Future
Service Contributions made by the Employer on his behalf, toe;ether
with interest thereon as described in paragraph 11 (a) (1) ,
will be· paid to his designated Beneficiary.
'l'hat By-Law No. 1541 is hereby amended accordingly.
