THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY O~' ELGIN
BY-LAW NO. 1565
WßEREAS it is desired to submit a proposed by-law of the Oorporation
of the County of Elgin, bei.\'lga by-law Uto authorize the Corporation of the
County of Elgin to grant ètid in the sum of $560,000.00 for the establishment,
erection and equipment of the St. Thomas Elgin GeneraL Hospi-!;,aln, to obtain
the opinion of the electors;
TßEREFORE the Council of the Oorporation of the County of Elgin
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
(1) THAT the said By-law shall be submitted to the electors for their
approval on the 5th day of DecejJlber, 1949 between the hours of 10 0' clock in th
forenooh and 7 o'clock in the .afternoon at the following places, and the deputy!
returning officer shall be tne person indicated at the respective polling place ,
and the deputy returning officer indicated shall take tne votes at the respect-
ive polling subdivisions ind±ated.

(2) THAT the 1st day of December, A. D. 1949 at eleven 0' clock in the
forenoon at the office of the Clerk of each Local Municipality has been fixed
for the appointment by the Reeve or Deputy Reeve of such local municipality
of persons to attend at the polling places and at the final su:rmning up of' the
votes by the Clerk of the County of Elgin.
(3) THAT on the 9th day of December, 1949, at the hour of eleven 0' clock
in the forenoon at the County Council Chambers within the Court House at the
City of st. Thomas, the Clerk of the County of' Elgin shall .attend ,and sum up th
votes given for and against the said proposed by-law.
(4) TIIAT the electrs entitled to vote on the said proposed By-law shall
be those persons within each of the local municipalities of which the County
is composed who are entitled to vote on money by-laws, and the list of voters
for each local municipality shall be prepared by the Clerk of it.
