To A oint a Count Assessor for Elgin County"
WHEREAS Sêction 86, Chapter 24, R. S. O. 1950 provides for
Appointment of a County Assessor,
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin
ena.cts:
(1) That John Wignall of the City of Chatham, County of Kent,
be, and is hereby appointed County Assessor for the County of Elgin,
(2) That the salary of the said. County Assessor shall be the
sum of $5,500.00 per annum, payable monthly, and an allowance of ten cents
per mile for the use of his car to a limit of fifteen thousand miles.
(3) That a suitable office in the County building with necessary
furniture and equipment shall be provided for his use, and that necessary
clericàl assistance shall be provided by the County.
(4) That the term of office of the said County Assessor shall
commence the 1st day of July, 1957.
(5) This By-Law shall come into force subject to the Approval
of the Department of Municipal Affairs.
READ a first time this 12th day of June, 1957.
READ a second time this 12th day of June, 1957.
READ a third time, and finally passed this 12th day of
June, 1957.

approve of the salary or expense allowance set for a County
Assessor, otherwise this by-law is approved.

job in Elgin County and that your county council will be
pleased with his work.
