her illness, unable to perform his or her regular duties
shall be paid for time lost from work through illness u.p
to one day in each month
'Full-Time Employee" shall mean any County employee who has
been employed directly by the Corporation during the period
of one calendar year immediately preceding the calendar
year in which the sickness for which benefits are claimed
occurs, in posi'tions requiring full-time servj.ce for not
less than eight monthfJ in the calendar year, and are at
the time of sickness in the employ of the Corporation
'Month" shall mean for. each salaried employee one calendar
mOl1th; for each hourly rated employee working a 1¡.8 hour
week, 208 hours.

Ow any employee ceasing to be employed by the County,
he or she, shall be entitled to no more than an amoun't
equal to his or her sàlary or wages or other remuneration
for one-half the number of days standing to his credit,

As requested, I enclose herewith a copy of our
Sick Leave By-Law, which is applicable to County Hoad
Employees.
We do not have a By-Law in respect to this
matter for other than road employees.
The By-Law became active on the first day of
January 1957, and \~as submj,tted to the Department of Highwa.ys
for approval at that time. We have not as yet received
approval, and as a. result, are not getting subsidy for the
payments \~hich are presently being paid at the end of each
year.
