THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN
BY-LAW NO. 1847
A By-Law to Amend the By-Law Adopting a Plan of
County Road Improvement, and Establishing a County
Road System in the County of ELGIN Under the
Highway Improvement Act.
The Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin
enacts as By-Law Number 1847· as follows:
1. The Schedule "A" of By-Law Number 1801 being the
last consolidating By_Law re-establishing the said
system is hereby amended by adding thereto the Roads
designated and described as follows:

ROAD 20 BEING a portion of the road or the

County of Elgin.
CO~NC]ßG on the road bet10feen Lots 15 and 16 North Side of
the North Branch of the Talbot Road at a point 800
feet south of the north limit of the North Side of
the North Branch of the Talbot Road;
THENCE on a regular 5 degree curve to the right through the
west corner of Lot 16 North Side of the North
Branch of the Talbot Road;
THENCE northerly across the easterly c orner of Lot 7, Concession
;z:., a distance of approximately 1200 feet to a
regular 5 degree curve to the left;
THENCE along this said 5 degree curve to the Road All010fance
bet10feen Lots 6 and 7 in Concession IV.
A distance of approximately 0.6 miles.

COlVJlV!ENCING on the road bet10feen Concession A and Concession V
north of A, at the easterly limit of the travelled
road in Lot 11, kn010fn as the old Currie Road (also
the easterly limit of County Road 15 in Lot II,
Concession A).
THENÇE easterly along the said road to the 10festerly limit
of the road bet10feen Lots 12 & 13 in Concession A and
Concession V north of A, kn010fn as the New Currie
Road, and described as County Road 8.
A distance of approximately 0.5 miles.

2. The roads as designated and described in paragraph 1, are
hereby added to the County Road System of the County of
Elgin.
3. 'fhis By-Law shall come into force upon the approval
thereof by the Lieutenant-Governor in Council.
FINALLY PASSED at the City of St. Thomas, in the County of Elgin,
this 20th day of November, 1963.
