IIA By-IA:¡w to Confirm Proceedings of the Council of
The Corporation of the Countv of Elgin at the
January session 196~~
'WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 249
of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be exercised by its council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsec,tion 1 of Section 242 of 'the tV¡unicipal Act,
being Chapter 249 of the I,evised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers
of every council are to be exercised by By-Lqw;
AND WmmEAS it is deemed expedient that 'the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin at this meeting be
confirmed and adopted by By-Law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUN'rY
IDF ELGIN ENACTS as follows:
1. That action of the Council of ,the Corporation of the County
of Elgin in respec't of each recommendation contained in the Reports
of the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by 'the Council of the Corporation of the County of
Elgin at its meetings held during the ';anuqry 1967 session is
hereby adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedi.ngs were expressly
embodied in tl1is By-Law.
2 . The Warden and proper officials of the Corporation of the County
of Elgi.n are hereby authorized and directed to do all things
necessary to give effect 'to 'the action of the Council of the
Corporation of the County of Elgin referred to in preceding section
hereof.
3. The Warden and the Clerk are authorized and Directed to execute
all documen'ts necessary in that behalf and to affix there'to the
Seal of the Corporation of the County of Elgin.
