December Session, 1967."
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Ac't, being Chapter 249
of the Revised statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal
Act, being Chapter 249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by By-Law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of
the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin at this meeting
be confirmed and adopted by By'-Law;
NOW 'fHEREFORE TIm COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY
OF ELGIN ENACTS as follows:
1. Tha'c action of the Council of the Corporation of the COUIl'ty of
Elgin in respect of each recommendation contained in the Reports of the
Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other action taken
by the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin at its mee'tings
held during the "[:recomb,,:!?, 1967 Session is hereby adopted and confirmed as
if all such proceedings were expréssly embodied in this By-Law.
2. The Warden and proper officials of the Corporation of the
County of Elgin are hereby authori zed. and direc'ted to do all things
necessary to give effec't to the action of the Council of the Corporation
of the County of Elgin referred to in preceding Section hereof,
3. The Warden and the Clerk are authorized and direc'ted to
execute all documen'ts necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the
Seal of the Corporation of the County of Elgin.
