2008 COUNTY OF ELGIN " By-Law No. 2008 "Bein By-Law To Constitute a Court ef Revision for each Townshi ~ and Villa~e Within the Limits of the Corporation of the Count , of El~in. To Appoint the Members Thereof and to Desiønate Their Remuneration Pursuant to Sectien 65a of the Assessment Act." WHEREAS Section 65a (1) of the Assessment Act states: "Where a by-law is passed 'in any year under subsection 2 of Section 93a appointing a Ceunty Assessment Commissioner, the Council of the County shall, in the subsequent year, constitute by by-law ene or more Courts of Revisien fer each Township, Town, and Village in the County." AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporatien ef the County of Elgin has passed a by-law under Seotion 93a of the Assessment Act NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. THAT a Ceurt of Revision oensisting of three members be, and " is hereby oenstituted fer the Townships, Towns, and Villages within the limits of the Cerporation ef the County of Elgin. 2. THAT the following persons be, and are hereby appointed members of the Court of Revision - constituted by Section (1) of this By...Law. Mr. Philip Sohleihauf, R. R. 2, Redney, Ontario, Mr. Noble Tufford, R. R. I, St. Thomas, Ontario, Mr. Kenneth Williamsen, Aylmer, Ontario. 3. THAT the members ef the Court of Revision shall select one of their number to be Chairman of the Court. 4. That each member of the Court of Revision for the Townships, Towns, and Villages within the County of Elgin be paid $15.00 for each one half day or portion thereof while sitting as a member ef the Court of Revision plus mileage at the rate of .10¢ per mile each way from his place of residence to the plaoe of the sitting; the Chairman of the Court of Revision shall be paid an additional $2.50 for each one half day er portion thereof while acting as Chairmanof a sitting of the Court ef Revisien 5. Each member ef the Court of Revision fer the Townships, . Town. and Villages within the County of Elgin shall hold office during the pleasure of the Counoil of the County of Elgin.
