By-Law No. 2083
A Bv-Law to Confirm Proceedings of the Council of
The Corporation of the County of Elgin at the
March Session 1969."
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 249
of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers of a municipal
corporation are to be exercised by its council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 249 of the Revised Statutes ef Ontario, 1960, the powers
of every Council are to be exercised by By-Law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the County ef Elgin at this meeting be
confirmed and adepted by By-Law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY
OF ELGIN ENACTS as follows:
1. That action of the Council of the Corporation of the County
of Elgin in respect of each recommendatien contained in the Reports
of the Cemmittees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by the Council of the Cerporation of the County ef
Elgin at its meetings held during the March 1969 Sessien is
hereby adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly
embødied in this By-Law.
2. The Warden and proper officials of theCorporatien of the County
of Elgin are hereby authorized and directed te do all things
necessary te give effect to the action óf the Council of the
Corporatien ef the County of Elgin referred to in preceding section
hereøf.
3. The Warden and the Clerk are authorized and Directed te execute
all døcuments necessary in that behalf and te affix thereto the
Seal ef the Corporatien of the County of Elgin.
