W1ŒREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Ch.apter 249
of the Rev:ised S·tat,utcs of Ontario, 1960, the pOlvcrs of a municipal
corporH"tion are ·to be exercised hy its eouncil;
AND 'WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal Act,
being Chapter 249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powers
of every Council are to be exercised by By-Law;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the
Council of the Corpora·tion of the County of Elgin at this meeting be
confirmed and adopted by By-Law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF 'rHE CORPORATION OF THE COUN'rY
OF ELGIN EN AC'rS as follows:
1. That; action of i,he Council of Ule Corporation of the County
of Elgin in respect of each recommendation contained in the Reports
of -the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and o-ther
ac'tion ·taken by the Council of the Corporation of the County of
Elgin at i-ts meetings held during the May 1969 Session is hereby
adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly
embodied in this By-Law.
2. 'The Warden and proper officials of the Corporatión of -the County
of Elgin are hereby authorized and directed to do all things
necessary to give effect to the action of the Council of the
Corporation of the County of Elgin referred to in preceding section
hereof.
3. The Warden and the Clerk are anthorized and Direc'ted too execute
all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the
Seal of the Corporation of the Coanty of Elgin.
