"Being a By-Law to Amend By-Law No. 545, a By-Law Regulating
the Amount to be Paid by Auctioneers for a License to Sell
Goods, Wares, and Merchandise in the County of Elg~n."
WHEREAS clause (2) of By-Law No. 545, authorizes
the Clerk of the County of Elgin to issue an Auctioneer's
license upon the payment of the sum of Twelve Dollars and
every such license shall be in force for one year from the
date of issue.
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to issue said
auctioneers' licenses on a calendar year basis.
NOW TIiEREFORE the'Council of the Corporation of the
County of Elgin enacts as follows:
(1) That clause (2) of By-Law No. 545 be deleted
and the following substituted therefore.
(2) That the Clerk of the said Council is hereby
authorized to issue such License to applicants
under the seal of the County Council of the
County of Elgin upon payment of the sum of
Twelve Dollars and every such license shall be
in force until December 31st of the year of issue.
