'''ï, 1: I \ ¡ COUNTY OF ELGIN By-La~l No. 2100 'A BY-LAH TO AUTHORIZE THE EXPROPRIATION OF LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF WIDENING AND IMPROVING COUNTY ROADS." }IIŒREAS under Section 333 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 249, R.S.O. 1960, the Council of every Corporation may pass By-Laws for acquiring or expropriating any land required for the purpose of the Corporation. AND WHEHEAS the Highway Improvement Act, R. S. O. 1960, Chapter 171, Section 66, provides that ~n1ere, in the exercise of its po,rers, or in performance of its obligations under Part VII of the said Act, a County finds that i,t is necessary to expropriate land for the purpose of opening up, widening, improving, protecting from erosion, altering or diverting a County Road, the County may proceed in the manner provided by Part 1 of the said Act: A}ID WHEP~AS in the exercise of its powers and in performance of its obligations, the Corporation of the County of Elgin finds that i.t is necessary to expropriate lands shmrn on Schedule "A" for widening, improving, etc., County Road # 45 as attached: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Corporation of the County of Elgin 1. That the Warden and Clerk of the County of Elgin be, and are, authorized to sign any and all plans pertaining to land expropriation for County Road 45 shown on Schedule A, and to affix thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the County of Elgin and to register the same in the County of Elgin Registry Office. 2. That the Treasurer be, and is hereby authorized to pay to the owners of the lands hereby expropriated, such amounts as may be agreed upon as compensation for the lands , expropriated, or sucn çompensation as may be determined ',',' '. by arbitration unde~\';~rovisions of the Expropriation Act 1968-69 READ a first time this 16th day of September, 1969.
