T oration Of The County Of Elgin At The

March Session, 1971."
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter
249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1960, the powe:rs of a muni-
cipal co:rpo:ration are to be exercised by its council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 242 of the Municipal
Act, being Chapter 249 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 19601 the
powers of every Council are to be exe:rcised by By-Law; c
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of
the Council of the Corpo:ration of the County of Elgin at this meeting
be confirmed and adopted by By-Law;
NOW' THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County
of Elgin Enacts as follows:
1. That action of the Council of the Corporation of the County
of Elgin in :respect of each recommendation contained in the Reports
of the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other
action taken by theCouRcil of the Corporation of the County of Elgin
at its meetings held during the March 1971 Session is hereby adopted
and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in
this Ey-Law.
2. The Warden and proper officials of the Corporation of the
County of Elgin are hereby authorized and directed to do all things
necessary to give effect to the action of the Council of the Corpora-
tion of the Coµnty of Elgin referred to in preceding section hereof.
3. The Warden and the Cle:rk are authorized and di:rected to
execut,e all documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto
the Seal of the Corporation of the County of Elgin.
