2304 By-Law No 2304 "A BY-LAW TO COJiiF'HèM BY-LAvi No. 2244 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF YARMOUTH, BEING A BY -LAW TO STOP-UP AND SELL ALL TI-IE ROAD ALLOWANCE BETWEEN LOTS 8 AND 9, CONCESSION 14, IN THE TOWNSHIP OF YAltMOUTH." W¡IEREAS the Council of the Township of Yarmouth on the 22nd day of January, 1974, A.D. did pass By-Law No. 2244 to s·top-up and sell all the road allowance beh¡een Lots 8 and 9, Concession 14, in the Township of Yarmouth more parti- cularly described in By-Law No. 2244 of the Township of Yarmouth, a true copy of which is hereunto annexed. AND W£lliREAS pursuant to the provisions of the Muni- cipal Act the said Township BY-I"aw shall not have any force until confirmed by a By-Law of the Council of the County in which the Township is situated, passed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held not later than one year after the passing of the By-Law of the Council of the Township. AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin for a By-Law oonfirming the said Township of Yarmouth By-Law. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: THAT By-Law No. 2244 of the Township of Yarmouth being a By-Law to stop-up é!nd sell all the road allowance between Lots 8 and 9, Concession 14, in the Township of Yarmouth be and the same is hereby confirmed. A By-law to stop-up and solI certain road allowance in the Township of Yarmouth. .'\ THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF YARMOUTH ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1.· That the following described road allowance in the Township of Yarmouth shall be and the same is hereby stonnd-up: ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Township of Yarmouth, in the County of Elgin, Province of Ontario being all the road allowance between Lots a and 9, Concession 14. 2. That the road allowance so stopped-up shall be offered for sale to those owners whose lands abut such allowance up to .;.; the middle line thereof. The purchase price to bo paid by each of the owners shall be $1. 00. If any such owner does not exercise his right to purchase within 15 days, the Council 1 may sell the part which he had the right to purchase to any other person at the said price. 3.. That a meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Yarmouth to hear in person or by his counsel, solicitoJ or agent..any person who applies to be heard and who claims that his land will be prejudicially affected by this by-law shall be held in the Council Chambers at 1229 Talbot Street, St. Thomas on Monday, the 14th day of January, 1974 at the hour of 7:30 o'clock in the evening.
