By-Law No. 2442
"BEING A BY -U\.W TO ESTABLISH THE ANNUAL REMUNERATION TO BE PAID
TO THE WARDEN OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN."
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to establish the annual
remuneration to be paid to the Warden of the County of Elgin.
NOW THEI,'EFOlΠthe Council of the Corporation of the
County of Elgin enacts as follows:
l. Tha.t the annual remuneration of the Warden of the
County of Elgin for attending meetings of the Council, meetings
of the various Committees and Local Boards and performing all
other duties applicable to his office, sha.ll be Six Thousand
Nine Hundred Dollars ($6,900.00) per annum, payable in twelve
equal installment s.
2. In addition to the annual remune ration established in
Clause (1) the Warden shall be paid the usual convention expenses
a.l1owed by Council for attending conventions outside the muni-
cipality, plus the following rates for each mile travelled in
attending meetings of County Council, County Council Committee
meetings and meetings of Local Boards in which the County of
Elgin is involved:
0 - 5,000 miles .20¢ per mile
over 5,000 miles .17¢ per mile.
3. That the Warden be provided with a telephone credit
card upon which to charge long distance telephone calls ma.de
on behalf of the County of Elgin.
4. That By-Law No. 2399 be and the same is hereby repealed.
5. That this By-Law become effective retroactive to
January 1st, 1977.
