WHEREAS By-Law No. 2539, as amended by By-Laws No.
79-31 and 80-4, regulates the proceedings in the Municipal
Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin and the
Officers and Committees thereof; and
WHEREAS it is necessary to further amend By-Law
No. 2539 to bring it in line with changes already approved;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corpor-
ation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows:
1. That Paragraph 3 of Section I of By-Law No. 2539 be
deleted and the following substituted:
(3) The first meeting of Council, after a
regular election and the first meeting in
the second year of its term, shall be held
at the hour of two o'clock in the afternoon
on the second Wednesday in December, (except
when the first day of December falls on a
Wednesday, in which case it shall be the
third Wednesday) and for every other day or
sitting in the Session, such hour shall be
regulated at the previous adjournment.
2. That Paragraph 3 of Section VII of By-Law No. 2539
be amended by deleting the wording in the 10th item and
replacing it as follows:
10th Local Government Industrial and Recreation.
READ a first time this 16th day of April, 1980.
READ a second time this 16th day of April, 1980.
READ a third time and finally passed this 16th day of April, 1980
