82-30 I COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 82-30 "BEING A BY-,LAW TO AMEND BY-,LAW NO., 81-42 ESTABLISHING FRINGE BENEF1TS FO~ EMPLOYEES NOT COVERED BY A COLLECTlvE AGREEMENI OR INCL!!]ED IN THlLMANAGEMENT CATEGORY.: WHEREAS By-Law No. 81-42, as amended by By-Law No. 81-66, provides for certain benefits for non-management employees; and WHEREAS it has been deemed appropriate to change the employer's contribution towards Long Term Disability insurance premiums for "hourly rated Roads Employees". NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corpo- ration of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1- THAT Section 6, Health and Welfare, Subsection 6.05 entitled "Long Term Disability (LTD)" as. shown in By-Law No. 81-42 and the amendment in By-Law No. 81-66 be repealed and the following substituted therefore: "6.05 Long Term Disability (LTD) The Employer agrees to pay eighty (80%) per cent of the premium of a long term disability insurance plan which will pay 66 2/3% of the employee's monthly earnings to a maximum of $2,300.00. The present plan, through Mutual Life of Canada, calls for a qualifying period of 120 days or expiration of sick leave, whichever is greater. Upon completion of the probationary period, all employees, not covered by a collective agree- ment, shall as a condition of employment, become members of the Long Term Disability plan." 2. THAT this by-law shall become effective April 1st 1982 READ a first time this 21st day of April, 1982. READ a second time this 21st day of April, 1982.
