COUNTY OF ELGIN
By-Law No., 87-29
"A BY-LAW TO CONFIRM PROCEEDINGS OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF
THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF-ELGIN AT THE
MAY SESSION. 1987.n
WHEREAS by Section 9 of The Municipal Act, being
Chapter 302 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario, 1980, the
powers of a municipal corporation are to be exercised by its
council; and
WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 103 of Thß
Municipal Act, being Chapter 302 of the Revised Statut.es of
Ontario, 1980, the powers of every Council are to þe éxercised
by By-Law; éjnd
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings
of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of t~e County of
Elgin at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by By-Law.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Çouncil of, th.e Corpora-
tion of the County of Elgin enacts as ,follows:
1. That act ion of the Municipal Councilpf,,'the Corpora-
tion of the Cou.nty of Elgin in respeçt o.feach reéommendation
contained in tþe Reports of the Committees and eé\ph motíon and
resolution passed and other action taken by the ~unicipal
Council of the Corporation of the C6unty of Elgin at its meet-
ings held during the May 1987 Session is hereby adopted and
confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in
this By-Law.
2. The Warden and proper official$ o'f the C'brþbrat'ion o.f'
the County of Elgin are hereby authorized and directed to do
all things necessary to give effect to the action of the
Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin
referred to in the preceding section hereof.
3 . The Warden and the Clerk are authorized and directed
to execute all documents necessary in that þehalf and to affix
thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the County of Elgin.
