"BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH RATES OF PAY ETC FOR REGISTERED
NURSES IN THE HOMES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS."
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to establish hourly
rates of pay for Registered Nurses employed in the Homes for
Senior Citizens as well as clothing allowance.
NOW THEREFORE the following rates be established:
1. Effective January 1st, 1987 -
START 1ST YR. 2ND YR. 3RD YR. 4TH YR.
$14.20 hr. $14.75 hr. $15.44 hr. $16.12 hr. $16.80 hr.
To compute years of service for part time staff in order to
advance to the next step in the grid, 1,880 hours worked i
equals one year.
2 . Effective January 1st, 1988 -
CLOTHING ALLOWANCE
An annual clothing allowance of $100.00 will be paid, in
equal quarterly payments of $25.00.
3. Registered Nurses required to work rotating shifts, the
major portion of which falls between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M
will be paid forty-five (45¢) cents per hour for each shift
worked. It is understood that this does not cover preferred
shifts of work by employees or transfers at the request of
employees, but only covers employees required to work rotat-
ing shifts.
4. That this by-law become effective upon passing.
5. That By-Law No. 87-9 be and the same is hereby repealed.
READ a first time this 20th day of January, 1988.
READ a second time this 20th day of January, 1988.
READ a third time and finally passed this 20th day of January 1988.
