89-58 ·11 By-Law No 89-58 "BEING A BY -LAW TO ESTABLISH THE ANNUAL REMUNERATION TO BE PAID TO THE WARDEN OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN." WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to establish the annual remuneration to be paid to the Warden of the County of Elgin. NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. That the annual remuneration for the Warden of the County of Elgin for attending meetings of the Council, meetings of the various committees and Local Boards, and performing all other duties applicable to the Office, shall be Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00) per annum, payable in twelve equal instalments. 2. In addition to the annual remuneration established in clause (1) , the Warden shall be paid the same rate for each mile/ kilometre necessarily travelled in attending County functions, in addition to Council and committee meetings, as established for the use of personal vehicles for County business. A monthly account for mileage travelled for other than Council and/or committees shall be submitted to the Clerk, on a form to be provided. 3. Attendance at conventions shall be reimbursed as out- lined in the by-law establishing rates for such attendance. 4. That the Warden be provided with a telephone credit card upon which to charge long distance telephone calls made on behalf of the County of Elgin and a Bank of Montreal Master Card. 5. That By-Law No. 88-52 be, and the same is hereby repealed. 6. That this By-Law become effective January 1st, 1990. READ a first time this 15th day of November, 1989.
