93-39 COUNTY OF ELGIN 93-39 By-Law No. TO REGULATE_THE AMENDED AS 91-59 AMEND BY-LAW NO. "TO PROCEEDINGS OF THE MUNICIPAL COUN~IL OF_'l'HE CORPORATION OF THE COUN'.l'Y OF ELGIN AND_COMMITTEES THEREOF" WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin did pass By-Law No. 91-59 in order to make and establish rules and regulations for governing the proceedings of Council, the conduct of its members, the calling of meetings, the regulations and directions of County Council, now pursuant to section 102, Chapter M.45, of the Municipal Act, R.S.O., 1990; and WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and expedient to further amend By-Law No. 91-59, as amended, particularly as it relates to the proceedings of Council. NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. That the "Orders of the Day" of the County Council Agenda be amended by deleting sections known as "Inquiries by Members or Giving Notice", "Unfinished Business" and "New Business" and the following section substituted therefore OTHER BUSINESS statements/Inquiries by Members Notice of Motion Matters of Urgency i) H) Hi) And, That the following explanation of this section be written into the County's Procedural By-Law: OTHER BUSINESS Statements/Inquiries by Members When a Councillor(s) wishes to inform Council of a matter that does not require action and consideration by Councilor wishes clarifi- cation of a matter, such information may be announced under the sub-section known as "Statements/Inquiries by Members". Only matters of urgency, which have been previously presented to the Warden and recommended admissible, shall be considered by Council without prior notice.
