94-49 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 94-49 "A BY-LAW TO CONSTITUTE A JOINT BOARD FOR THE PREPARATION OF A WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN" WHEREAS the Council of the County of Elgin and the Council of the Corporation of the city of st. Thomas propose to constitute a joint committee to be known as the Joint Board for Waste Management; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. The Council hereby constitutes a committee to be known as the Joint Board for Waste Management for the purpose of preparing a waste management plan; 2. The Board shall consist of eight members, these to be appointed by Council of the County Corporation (five members) and these by the Council of the City Corporation (three members); 3. The Board shall operate under such rules as it shall determine; 4. The Board shall consider, and where required, incorporate into the waste management plan the recommendations set forth in the recommendations adopted by County Council on October 25th, 1994; 5. The Joint Steering Committee established by Council of the County of Elgin by resolution dated December 10th, 1992 and by Council of the City of st. Thomas shall cease; 6. This By-Law shall take effect on the enactment of a similar by-law by the Council of the city Corporation. READ a first and second time this 22nd day of November, 1994.
