96-19 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 96-19 "BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD #3 IN THE TOWNSHIP OF ALDBOROUGH" WHEREAS, pursuant to section 207 (44) of the Municipal Act, being Chapter M.45, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, a by-law may be passed by a municipal council for closing to vehicular traffic on a temporary basis for such period as shall be specified in the by-law, any highway under the jurisdiction of the council for such social, recreational and other interests specified in said Act; and, WHEREAS, the Township of Aldborough, by letter, has requested that a portion of County Road #3, known as Furnival Road, from victoria street to Moriah Street in the Township of Aldborough, be closed temporarily on June 1, 1996 from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the county of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. That authorization be granted to the Township of Aldborough in accordance with the relevant provisions outlined in the Municipal Act to temporarily close Furnival Street (County Road #3), in the Township of Aldborough, from victoria Street to Moriah Street, on June 1, 1996 from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 2. That the Township of Aldborough will provide a resolution "saving the County harmless" during this event. READ a first and second time this 28th day of May, 1996.
