97-30 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 97-30 BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT A LAND DIVISION COMMITTEE' WHEREAS Section 56 of the Planning Act, being Chapter P.13 of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1990, as amended, provides for the constitution and appointment of a Land Division Committee. Elgin the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows 1. That a Land Division Committee is hereby constituted and the following persons have been appointed to membership on the said Committee Albert Ford Tere Lebedz Dave Mennill Murray Silcox Mathew Schafer. remuneration 2. That the Members of the Land Division Committee be paid the following for attending meetings of the said Committee: the said meeting IS over When attending a meeting of the Committee. when three (3) hours in duration - $95.00 a) three the said meeting IS When attending a meeting of the Committee. when (3) hours or less in duration - $62.00 b) In addition to the above remuneration, each Member shall be paid the same rate for each mile/kilometre necessarily travelled in attending such meetings as established for the use of personal vehicles while on County business. c) 3. Each Member shall be paid, in addition to the above remuneration, $20.00 for each application that he investigates. This is to cover mileage and/or attendance at local counci meetings to discuss the applications. when authorized by County Counci Within a radius of 322 kilometres (200 miles) of St. Thomas, $225.00 per day, registration fee and mileage from St. Thomas to the convention site and return, paid at the same rate established for the use of personal vehicles while on County business. For attending a convention a) 4. Outside a radius of 322 kilometres (200 miles) of St. Thomas, $225.00 per day, registration fee and travel by air or vehicle, at the lowest quoted cost, from the London airport to the site of the convention and return. The sum of up to $20.00 will be allowed for travel to and from London if travel is by air or rail. b) Generally speaking, the use of a vehicle is to be restricted to points within a radius of 322 kilometres (200 miles) of St. Thomas or to points not readily accessible by rail or air transportation c) Standard mileage as set out on "Schedule A" will be used on claim forms. Whenever possible, persons are encouraged to travel together in order to reduce costs. d) 2 The per diem rate of $225.00 per day shall be limited to the actual number of days that the convention has sessions listed which the delegate attends. e) Claims for reimbursement of expenses and per diem shall be made on approved claim forms, complete with reéeipts. Payment of reimbursement shall be made as soon as possible after receipt of claim, but will coincide with the scheduled cheque run f) The convention provisions shall be subject to the payment of a maximum of $1,100.00 plus registration fee, per Member, per calendar year, but shall remain within budget limitations g) That By-Law No. 94-53 be, and the same is hereby repealed 1998. 1, That this By-Law become effective January 5. 6 READ a first time this 28th day of October 1997. time this 28th day of October 1997 6'.
