98-16 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 98-16 BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF CURRIE ROAD) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUTTON/DUNWICH COUNTY ROAD #8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 207 (44) of the Municipal Act, being Chapter MA5 R.S.O. 1990, as amended, a by-law may be passed by a municipal council for closing to vehicular traffic on a temporary basis for such period as shall be specified in the by-law, any highway under the jurisdiction of the council for such social, recreational and other interests specified in said Act; and, WHEREAS, the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich has, by letter, requested that a portion of County Road #8, known as Currie Road, from Mary Street to Shackleton Street in the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich former Village of Dutton, be closed temporarily on July 10, 1998 from 5:00 p.m. until July 11, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. or July 17, 1998 from 5:00 p.m. until July 18,1998 at 5:00 p.m. the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows: 1. That authorization be granted to the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich, in accordance with the relevant provisions outlined in the Municipal Act to temporarily close a portion of County Road #8, known as Currie Road, in the geographical location of the Village of Dutton, from Mary Street to Shackleton Street on July 10, 1998 from 5:00 p.m. until July 11, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. 2.
