99-12 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 99-12 BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD #103 (FURNIVAL ROAD) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF WEST ELGIN' WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 207 (44) of the Municipal Act, being Chapter MA5 RS,O. 1990, as amended, a by-law may be passed by a municipal council for closing to vehicular traffic on a temporary basis for such period as shall be specified in the by-law, any highway under the jurisdiction of the council for such social, recreational and other interests specified in said Act; and, WHEREAS, the Municipality of West Elgin has, by letter, requested that a portion of County Road #1 03, known as Furnival Road, from Victoria Street to Moriah Street in the Municipality of West Elgin, former Village of Rodney, be closed temporarily on May 29, 1999 from 8:00 a.m, until 1 :30 p,m the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows: 1. That authorization be granted to the Municipality of West Elgin, in accordance with the relevant provisions outlined in the Municipal Act to temporarily close a portion of County Road #103, known as Furnival Road, in the geographical location of the former Village of Rodney, from Victoria Street to Moriah Street on May 29, 1999 from 8:00 a.m until 1:30 p,m. 2. That the Municipality of West Elgin be responsible for providing the appropriate level of liability insurance, naming the County harmless during road closure, and for providing materials, labour and equipment required to maintain a safe detour route, 1999 ~ 1999. time and finally passed this 27th day of Apri time this 27th day of Apri and second READ a third READ a first Rien VanBrenk, Warden Marl cDonald, Chief Administrative Officer.
