99-22 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 99-22 BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF CURRIE ROAD) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUTTONIDUNWICH' COUNTY RQAD #8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 207 (44) of the Municipal Act, being Chapter MA5, RS.O. 1990, as amended, a by-law may be passed by a municipal council for closing to vehicular traffic on a temporary basis for such period as shall be specified in the by-law, any highway under the jurisdiction of the council for such social, recreational and other interests specified in said Act; and WHEREAS, the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich has, by letter, requested that a portion of County Road #8, known as Currie Road, from Mary Street to John Street in the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich, be closed temporarily on June 26, 1999 from 7:00 p.m. until June 27, 1999 at 1 :00 a.m, for the purposes of a Fundraising Dance for renovations to the community swimming pool. the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows: 1, That authorization be granted to the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich, in accordance with the relevant provisions outlined in the Municipal Act to temporarily close a portion of County Road #8, known as Currie Road, in the geographical location of the Village of Dutton, from Mary Street to John Street on June 26, 1999 from 7:00 p.m. until June 27, 1999 at 1:00 a.m. 2, That the Municipality of DuttonlDunwich is responsible for providing the appropriate level of liability insurance, naming the County harmless during road closure, and for providing materials, labour and equipment required to maintain a safe detour route. 1999. /lit 1999 time and finally passed this 22nd day of June time this 22nd day of June and second READ a third READ a first Rien VanBrenk, Warden lVIark G.
