99-23 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No. 99-23 "BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE WARDEN AND THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT FOR DELIVERY OF TREE COMMISSIONER AND WEED INSPECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES BY THE KETTLE CREEK CONSERVATION AUTHORITY' WHEREAS pursuant to Section 102 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter MA5, RS.O, 1980, as amended, a council may pass by-laws and make regulations not specifically provided for in the Act as may be deemed expedient; and WHEREAS the County has previously passed By-Law No, 87-6, as amended by By-Law No. 93-30, which Restricts and Regulates the Destruction of Trees, and By-Law No. 1480 which Appoints a County Weed Inspector; and WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to enter into an agreement with Kettle Creek Conservation Authority for co-operative delivery of Tree Commissioner and Weed Inspector responsibilities within the jurisdiction of the County of Elgin; and WHEREAS the Kettle Creek Conservation Authority has agreed, under certain terms and conditions, to deliver the responsibilities of the Tree Commissioner and Weed Inspector, and the County has agreed to enter into joint agreement. the County of Elgin the Corporation of the Municipal Council of NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows: 1. THAT the Warden and the Chief Administrative Officer are hereby authorized to sign an agreement with the Kettle Creek Conservation Authority outlining the terms and conditions under which the responsibilities of the Tree Commissioner and Weed Inspector will be delivered. 2 THAT this By-Law shall become effective beginning May 1, 1999, and shall be considered as annually renewed unless 90 days notice of cancellation or amendment is provided in writing from one party to the other. 1999.
