COUNTY OF ELGIN
By-Law No. 00-19
BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH THE SALARIES FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS AND
TO ESTABLISH A PAY SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN
WHO ARE NOT COVERED BY AGREEMENTS OR OTHERWISE'
WHEREAS Section 207 (45) of the Municipal Act, being Chapter MA5 of the
Revised Statues of Ontario, 1990, as amended, authorizes a council to pass by-laws to fix
remuneration for officers and employees of the municipal corporation; and
WHEREAS persons, holding the following positions within the structure of the
County Administration, have been appointed by by-law:
Manager, Engineering Services
Manager, Library Services
Deputy Clerk
Deputy Treasurer; and
Chief Administrative Officer
Director, Financial Services
Director, Homes and Seniors Services
Director, Human Resources
WHEREAS By-Law No. 99-18 presently establishes pay schedules for said
positions; and
WHEREAS By-Law No. 99-19 presently establishes pay schedules for positions
covered by agreements or otherwise; and
the remuneration to be paid to persons
to establish
not
WHEREAS it is necessary
holding these positions.
the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin
NOW THEREFORE
enacts as follows:
1 That the attached Schedule "A" and Appendix 1 establishing pay schedules for
positions appointed by by-law and for positions not covered by agreements or otherwise,
be and the same are hereby adopted.
That By-Laws No. 99-18 and 99-19 be and the same are hereby repealed
