04-07 COUNTY OF ELGIN By-Law No, 04-07 "BEING A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH A PAY SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES COVERED BY THE JOB EVALUATION SCALE' WHEREAS pursuant to Section 5(3) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, a municipal power, including a municipality's capacity, rights, powers and privileges under Section 8, shall be exercised by by-law unless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise and WHEREAS pursuant to Section 8 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, a municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for the purpose of exercising its authority under this or any other Act; and WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, broad authority is conferred on municipalities to enable them to govern their affairs as they consider appropriate and to enhance their ability to respond to municipal issues; and WHEREAS By-Law No. 02-35 presently establishes pay schedules for positions not covered by agreements or otherwise; and to the persons to be paid the remuneration to establish WHEREAS it is necessary holding these positions. NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows be and the same are hereby 1 1.
